Zups, Zalads, Zides & Zandwiches oh my!!!

Hello Fellow Foodies,

I went to Zup for brunch with 6 of my girl friends this past Sunday and we tried a number of the items on menu - all of them fantastic. The signature Lobster Bisque was soooo yummy; you get nice chunks of lobster in every bite! The Roasted Tomato, Garlic & Basil Bisque was low cal and we couldn't believe that it contained no dairy. The Chef/Owner Johhny Z told us that the secret to the creaminess was his creative use of potato. The Chicken Pot Pie Zup was topped with
a French puff pastry and was chock full of veggies; not salty at all and was made with his own homemade chicken stock. The Eggs Benedict with Bolo ham was amazing. The eggs were perfectly poached and the hollandaise sauce was so light and delicious. The toasted ciabatta bread really held the benedict up nicely with all the nooks and crannies and was a nice twist to the classic English muffin! The grilled roasted vegetable wrap was one of my favorites. The veggies were grilled to perfection, topped with pesto and fresh mozzarella and served on a pressed multi grain wrap. The signature Lobster BLT was more than a mouthful. This was nothing short of a masterpiece. Johnny Z really does love him some Lobster! Lobster is a theme that runs through Zup's menu and, I for one, am sure glad it does. He flies them in fresh from Maine and showcases it in many unique menu items that you'd be hard pressed to find on any other menu, especially at lunch! Just when we thought we couldn't put one more morsel of food into our mouths, out came a beautiful dish of Johnny's homemade artichoke spinach dip. It was served warm, with some nice crostini rounds and each bite was filled with fresh chunks of spinach, artichoke and garlic! Zup will allow you to bring your own champagne or wine (with no corkage fee) and had we known that in advance, we would've brought some champagne to add to our oj for some lovely mimosas. (Note to self for the next time, as there will certainly be a next time and a time after that and...). Zup is the perfect place to hang out with friends, have a great breakfast and lunch and soon, dinner. One bite and you too will be hooked- guaranteed!

Zup is located at 99 SE Mizner Blvd. Boca Raton, FL 33432 on the first floor of Palmetto Place condos. 561-367-3688

You can "like" them on facebook at "ZUP".

Until we eat again,
I send you delicious wishes, xo

Denise
